At the SpinAwards 2009 - the most important interactive awards in the Netherlands - MUSE Amsterdam received a Golden SpinAwards for Appie. The mobile app for Albert Heijn was the only nominee in the category ‘mobile’. Next to the Golden SpinAward, MUSE Amsterdam was nominated for best interactive agency.

The jury said (Dutch):
“De jury van de categorie mobiel was unaniem in haar oordeel. In de breedte was dit jaar iets minder dan de voorgaande jaren maar gelukkig was er wel 1 parel tussen. Minder kwantiteit, dezelfde kwaliteit.

De winnaar is Appie van Icemobile. Innovatief in het meenemen van de gebruikerssituatie, diverse nieuwe functionaliteiten, zeer klantgericht (user centered design) en prettige user interface. Met Appie zijn mobiele apps eindelijk tot de gewone man doorgebroken. Simpel, duidelijke use case, functioneel en entertaining. Wij denken dat deze app een impuls zal betekenen voor de gehele mobiele markt: hogere budgetten voor hogere kwaliteit apps.

Appie vormt 1 van de normen in de huidige NL mobiele sector. AH heeft een historie in NL om cultuurveranderingen te versnellen, deze app zou hier ook weer een voorbeeld van kunnen zijn.”

The Acadamy has recognized two of our campaigns as Official Webby Honorees. Both the Samsung Queensday 2008 campaign and the Red Bull Air Race 2008 campaign received a Webby Honor.

The Webbies Official Honoree distinction is only awarded to work that exhibits remarkable achievement.

SpinAwards 2009

On April 2nd the eleventh edition of the annual SpinAwards was held in the ‘Westergasfabriek‘ building in Amsterdam.

Unfortunately a certain Dutch magazine for advertising professionals managed to spoil some of the fun by accidentally releasing the official list of winners in advance of the award show. Still, the atmosphere at the event was very exciting and Muse is very proud to be one of just three agencies receiving more than one award. Two of our three nominated campaigns won a silver SpinAward: Hilfiger Denim in the category Best Interactive Campaign and Samsung Soul in for Best Application of Media.

Muse would like to thank and congratulate everybody who has contributed to the success.

We are proud to anounce that today the Mitsubishi Lancer Sportback website received a Site Of The Day award from The FWA. The Favorite Website Award is a leading web award recognizing the very best in cutting edge website design.

This is the second time a website for Mitsubishi created by Muse and Lukkien has been awarded Site Of The Day by The FWA. Februari 2009 the Lancer Evolution Control10 campaignsite also received a SOTD-award.

MUSE wants to thank everybody who has worked on the Mitsubishi Lancer Sportback project.

The Share Your Dutch Soul campaign for the introduction of the Samsung Soul mobile phone has received a nomination for the Festival of Media Awards in the catagory Best Event/Activation. During the celebration of Queensday 2008 Dutch partygoers used their mobile phones to stream live video to the biggest videoscreen in Europe using LiveCastr. A specially designed Soul-branded gadget on social networking site Hyves allowed participants to show their videos to their online friends.

The event campaign was commisioned by Samsung Electronics Benelux B.V. and created by media communication agency Starcom, mobile service agency Icemobile, Cheil Worldwide and MUSE amsterdam.

The Festival of Media Awards global awards programme is designed to reflect the radical changes taking place in the communications business and are held in Valencia, Spain on 19-21 april 2009.

The nominations for the 2008 SpinAwards, one of the leading Dutch awards for interactive and mobile advertising, have been announced. MUSE amsterdam is proud to inform you that no less than three campaigns have been nominated.

In the category Best Website Concept a nomination went to the “Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution” brandsite and Control10 online game created by Lukkien and MUSE amsterdam. Also “Hilfiger Denim - Denim Street” was nominated for best online campaign and “Samsung Soul - Show Your Dutch Soul” for best media application.

The 2008 SpinAwards award show and awesome party will be held at the Gashouder building on the Westergasterrein in Amsterdam on 2 April 2009.

LiveCastr is among the 50 selected nominees for the Media & Communication Innovation Awards. This year the “Blue Tulip” will be awarded for the second time.

Through LiveCastr people can broadcast live video directly from their mobile phones to the web, allowing their online friends to follow them from any event, anytime, anywhere. The live video can be viewed on the LiveCastr website or on a LiveCastr player that users can place on their personalized profile page on their favorite online social network.

Today the M&M Award shortlist for 2008 was published. We’re very proud that LiveCastr is amongst the nominees in the category “Best Use of Creative Media” for the Samsung Share Your Dutch Soul campaign held during Queensday 2008. LiveCastr and Starcom joined forces to create a campaign that promoted the new Samsung Soul during Queensday. Party-goers where invited to stream live video from their mobile phones to the largest screen in Europe and a special Queensday Hyves action page. Livecastr is a mobile video streaming service developed by Muse Agency and Icemobile.

Cannes Lions Outdoor - HBO Voyeur Projection Installation

It’s the end of the week and a great week in Cannes has come to an end. A rollercoaster like every year. Great workshops, fantastic films, and too many parties. Unfortunately Sander missed his flight and Max broke his hand.

Today at 9:00 the winners of the Cannes Lions were announced in the categories RadioOutdoorMediaMedia Agency of the Year and the Media Young Lions Competition. Keep your eye on the Cannes Lions website because the remaining categories like the Film Lions and the Cyber Lions will be announced in the coming days.
