The Red Bull Air Race returned after three years to Rotterdam for the 2008 edition and was a huge success. So was the Reporter game that Muse created for Samsung and Red Bull in cooperation with Icemobile and Starcom. The high octane aerial event was broadcast live by five winners of the Red Bull reporter game with their mobile phones. They had VIP access to the event and used their brand new Samsung TouchWiz’ and Livecastr to stream video to the biggest screen in Europe - live!

Mark Burtons ‘Waterboard’ makes use of advanced touchscreen technologies to create an interactive water experience. Users can manipulate digital water with the use of old fashioned white board markers and erasers. The flow can be adjusted by drawing lines on the screen. When the installation touched by the users hands or when someone leans against the screen the simulated liquid will move around them as real water would. Virtual life-forms will appear in basins and plants will grow where land (lines) and water meet. If the water is stagnant it will even become clouded and discolored.

The Waterboard project was the winner of the RSA Design awards 2008.
